In the heart of Sihanoukville’s downtown is Phsar Leu (Sihanoukville market). The biggest market in the city.
No matter what you need, be it fresh fruit, a hair cut and shave, electrical goods, vegetables, meat, clothes, shoes Phsar Leu has pretty much everything.
The market is on 7 Makara Street and opens early in the morning until around 7 in the evening. There is plenty of motorbike parking for those of you with your own transportation and the parking fee is currently 25 cents. (1000 reil).
If you fancy some genuine locally made food then there are plenty of stalls inside selling soup, fried rice, noodles and spring rolls.
Like all markets in Cambodia this one is a hive of activity and certainly overloads the senses, a perfect place for you to practice your bartering or Khmer language skills.
